Methodology

How we test exchanges

For each of the 9 exchanges we cover (Binance, Bybit, OKX, MEXC, KuCoin, Gate, Bitget, BingX), the same hands-on test runs: register a new account, complete KYC verification, deposit a small amount in stablecoin, place a market order, place a limit order, withdraw to an external wallet. We document each step with screenshots, timing, and friction points. Reviews are refreshed quarterly.

Exchange rating criteria

Each exchange gets a 0 to 10 score across 7 weighted criteria: fees (20 percent), supported coins (15 percent), security record (20 percent), KYC speed and friction (10 percent), withdrawal experience (10 percent), customer support response time (10 percent), promotional value (15 percent). The composite score is averaged from these. We publish the per-criterion scores alongside the composite. Methodology changes are versioned at the bottom of each review.

CM-Score for airdrops

Every airdrop in our tracker gets a CM-Score (0 to 10) calculated from: project fundraising amount (Series A, B, etc.), backer quality (top tier VCs weighted higher), team transparency (named founders versus anonymous), task complexity vs reward type (cash drop versus token vesting), and historical reliability of similar campaigns. Full formula and weight table sits at /methodology/cm-score.

Price predictions

We publish 5-year price scenarios (2026 to 2030) for the top 100 cryptocurrencies. Each prediction shows three numbers: minimum scenario (bear case), average scenario (base case), maximum scenario (bull case). These are scenario estimates based on historical cycles, supply schedule, and adoption indicators. They are not investment advice or price guarantees. We refresh predictions monthly when the input data shifts.

DCA portfolio strategy

Our public portfolio at /portfolio uses a dollar-cost-averaging strategy over a 7 to 10 year accumulation horizon. Allocation across 9 assets is rebalanced quarterly when an asset moves more than 20 percent from target weight. Buy signals fire based on 7 indicators (RSI, 200-day moving average, fear and greed index, funding rates, etc.) combined into a composite. All purchases are executed with personal funds and verifiable on-chain. Strategy details and historical backtest are in the Premium PDF.

Data sources

Real-time prices and market caps from CoinGecko API. DeFi yield data from DeFiLlama API. Exchange fees and supported coins from each exchange official API. News articles cite source publication by name. AML risk checks use AMLBot API. Withdrawal fee comparisons pull live data from 9 exchange APIs cached every 6 hours. Anytime we cannot verify a data point through an API or primary source, we mark the page with a disclaimer until we can.

Updates and review cycle

Exchange reviews refresh quarterly. Airdrop tracker updates daily. News articles publish within minutes of detection by the RSS pipeline. Price predictions refresh monthly. The portfolio strategy is reviewed annually at year-end. We never silently change historical data. When we update a forecast or rating, the original entry stays in the article history with a dated note.
