OKX Ventures was founded in 2021 as the investment arm of leading crypto exchange and Web3 technology company OKX . The fund operates from Singapore and the Seychelles, positioning itself as a bridge between early-stage blockchain founders and the resources of one of the world's largest crypto platforms. Launched with an initial fund size of $100 million, OKX Ventures targets high-potential blockchain projects across the globe , though over the past two years, OKX Ventures has invested in over 300 projects across five continents with a fund size of approximately USD $1 billion . This significant growth reflects both the firm's expanding mandate and the broader maturation of crypto venture capital.
OKX Ventures will focus on the discoveries and investments in various aspects, including blockchain basic infrastructures, Layer2, DeFi, WEB3.0, NFT and Metaverse. Our mission is to explore and invest on the innovative blockchain projects worldwide and promote sustainable development across the entire industry globally . The fund takes a hands-on approach. Projects with our in-depth participation and investment will be recommended to OKX and have the opportunity to access numerous OKX products, services, publicity resources, users, and brand endorsement . Whether in China, Silicon Valley, Japan, South Korea, or Southeast Asia, we have formed a resource network with local media and KOLs , giving portfolio companies access to markets and partnerships that independent VCs cannot match.
In 2024, OKX Ventures significantly increased its industry investments, aiming to accelerate innovation and development within the cryptocurrency sector. The total investment for the year surpassed $100 million, covering more than 60 projects and funds . The firm's thesis centers on early-stage opportunities: OKX Ventures typically invests in projects at the seed or early stage, and it provides funding, as well as support and guidance to help the project grow. The firm may also participate in later-stage funding rounds for companies it has previously invested in .
